Does this guide apply to your appliance?
Match the brand, device type and complete display code. The same code can mean something different on another product family or market; a series name does not confirm every model in that series.

Likely causes
- Hot or cold water supply valves are turned off or partially closed
- Inlet water supply hoses are kinked, pinched, or damaged
- Sediment or mineral buildup clogging the water inlet valve filter screens
- Anti-flood or flood-safe supply hoses restricting water flow rate
- Low household water pressure
- Failed internal water inlet valve assembly or pressure sensor switch
What to try
Inspect water supply valves and inlet hoses
Easy- Press the Power button to cancel the error; if the washer initiates an automatic drain routine, wait 8 to 10 minutes for it to complete.
- Ensure both the hot and cold water shut-off valves behind the washer are fully turned on.
- Inspect the full length of both inlet hoses to verify there are no sharp bends, crimps, or kinks restricting water flow.
- Ensure standard supply hoses are used; if restrictive auto-shutoff or anti-flood hoses are installed, replace them with standard braided hoses.
Clean water inlet valve screens
Easy- Unplug the washing machine from the electrical wall outlet.
- Turn off both the hot and cold water shut-off faucets completely.
- Unthread the inlet hoses from the connections at the back of the washer, keeping a bucket and towel ready to catch residual water.
- Inspect the small mesh filter screens inside the washer's water inlet valve ports for sediment, rust, or mineral scale.
- Carefully clean the screens with a soft-bristled brush to remove any trapped debris.
- Reattach the hoses to the correct hot and cold ports, tighten securely, turn the water taps back on fully, check for leaks, plug the appliance back in, and run a test cycle.
This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.
Test household water pressure and isolate for technician
Moderate- Turn off the water taps and disconnect the supply hoses from the washer.
- Direct the loose ends of both hoses into a deep bucket or utility sink and open each tap individually to verify steady, strong water pressure.
- If water pressure is low or erratic, contact a licensed plumber to inspect household plumbing lines.
- If household pressure is normal and hoses/screens are clean but F8 E1 returns, the internal solenoid valve or water level sensor is faulty; isolate the washer from power and water and contact a qualified technician.
This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.
