About the project

About FaultGuide

FaultGuide is an independent reference for home-appliance error codes and symptoms. Its purpose is simple: explain in plain language what an appliance is trying to tell you, what you can safely check yourself, and when to stop and call a qualified technician.

What you will find here

How pages are made

Each page starts with research into one code for one manufacturer. Information is gathered from official sources wherever possible, the draft is written with the help of AI tools, and before publication it has to pass an automated quality gate: enough sources, a complete structure, no unsafe instructions, and clear wording. Drafts that miss the bar are not published. The full process is described in our editorial policy.

Limits of the information

The meaning of a fault code can change between models, production years, and sales regions. Everything on this site is general information and does not replace the owner's manual for your exact model or an inspection by a qualified technician. Gas, internal electrical, and refrigerant work is for licensed professionals only.

Independence

FaultGuide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any manufacturer mentioned on the site. Brand names are used only to identify the appliance. The site may show advertising to cover its running costs; advertisers do not influence the troubleshooting content.
