What to try
Power reset and drain cycle

- Plug the washer back in and press the Power button.
- Press the Spin Speed button repeatedly until 'No Spin' is illuminated.
- Press the Start/Pause button to drain any remaining water from the tub.
- Once draining is complete, restart a standard wash cycle to determine if the error clears.
Cool down after manual hot water addition
Easy- Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
- If extremely hot or boiling water was manually poured into the tub, allow the water to cool down to room temperature.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Power on the machine and run a cold wash or drain cycle.
Isolate unit and schedule service inspection
ProfessionalThis is a service referral, not a do-it-yourself repair procedure.
- Turn off the washer if the tE error returns immediately after a reset.
- Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet to prevent electrical hazards.
- Shut off both hot and cold water supply valves behind the washer.
- Contact LG support or a qualified technician to inspect internal wiring, test the thermistor resistance, or replace the heating element.
This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.
