Does this guide apply to your appliance?
Match the brand, device type and complete display code. The same code can mean something different on another product family or market; a series name does not confirm every model in that series.

Likely causes
- Laundry clumped or tangled on one side of the drum
- Single heavy or water-absorbent item washed without counterweight
- Underloaded drum with too few garments to balance evenly
- Overfilled drum preventing clothes from distributing properly
- Washing machine not level on the floor
- Worn suspension rods or shock absorbers failing to dampen movement
What to try
Redistribute and balance the laundry load
Easy- Pause the washing cycle and wait for the drum to stop completely and the door lock indicator to disengage.
- Open the door and untangle any bunched or knotted laundry.
- Spread clothes evenly around the perimeter of the drum.
- If washing a single bulky item (such as a bath mat, jeans, or heavy jacket), add two to three dry or damp towels to counterbalance the load.
- If the machine is overloaded, remove several wet items so there is a hand's width of space at the top of the drum.
- Close the door firmly and restart the spin or rinse and spin cycle.
Check and adjust the washer leveling feet
Moderate- Power off the washing machine and ensure it rests on a firm, flat, non-slip surface without stands or trolleys.
- Place a spirit level on top of the washer to determine which side or corner is uneven.
- Loosen the locking nuts on the adjustable leveling legs using a suitable wrench.
- Turn the feet clockwise to lower or counter-clockwise to raise them until all four feet rest firmly and flatly on the floor.
- Tighten the locking nuts back up against the base of the washer cabinet to secure the adjustments.
- Gently rock the top corners of the washer diagonally to verify there is no wobble.
This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.
Run an empty spin test and calibration cycle
Easy- Empty the drum completely of all laundry and water.
- Select a standalone spin cycle with an empty tub to verify if the Ub error persists without a load.
- If the empty spin succeeds, the previous fault was caused solely by laundry distribution.
- If the Ub code repeats while empty, initiate the washer Calibration mode (refer to your user manual for model-specific button combinations, commonly Temp + Delay End) to reset weight detection.
- If the empty drum continues to shake violently or display Ub, power off the unit, unplug it from the wall outlet, and contact an authorized Samsung service provider to inspect the internal suspension rods, dampeners, or balance ring.
This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.
