Does this guide apply to your appliance?
Match the brand, device type and complete display code. The same code can mean something different on another product family or market; a series name does not confirm every model in that series.

Likely causes
- Water supply tap closed or partially turned off
- Kinked, pinched, or twisted water inlet hose
- Clogged mesh filter screens in the water inlet hose or valve
- Low domestic water pressure (less than 0.5 bar)
- Water siphoning out due to improper drain hose installation
- Faulty water inlet solenoid valve or defective pressure sensor
What to try
Inspect Water Supply Tap and Inlet Hose
Easy- Turn the appliance off and make sure the water supply tap connected to the washer is turned fully on.
- Check behind the washing machine to ensure the inlet hose is not kinked, squashed, or twisted.
- Turn off the supply tap, unscrew the hose from the tap, and point the tap into a bucket to check water pressure (a 10-litre bucket should fill in roughly one minute).
- Reattach the hose securely, reopen the tap completely, and run a test cycle.
Clean Inlet Hose and Valve Filter Screens
Moderate- Turn off the water supply tap and unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet.
- Unscrew the inlet hose connection from both the supply tap and the rear water inlet valve on the machine.
- Locate the small plastic or metal mesh filters inside the hose ends and the inlet valve opening.
- Remove the filters carefully using a pair of small pliers or tweezers.
- Rinse and clean the mesh filters under running tap water with a soft brush to remove dirt, sediment, or limescale.
- Reinsert the filters, reconnect the hoses tightly by hand, turn the water tap back on, and inspect for leaks.
This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.
Check Drain Hose Positioning to Prevent Siphoning
Easy- Verify that the drain hose height is between 60 cm and 100 cm above the base of the washing machine.
- Check that the drain hose extends no more than 10 cm down into the standpipe or waste outlet.
- Ensure the drain hose is not airtight in the standpipe, allowing adequate ventilation to avoid siphoning water out during the fill cycle.
- Restart the cycle to confirm that the appliance fills and retains water as expected.
Professional Inspection of Inlet Valve and Pressure System
ProfessionalThis is a service referral, not a do-it-yourself repair procedure.
- Power off and isolate the appliance from the mains power supply.
- Shut off the water supply tap completely.
- Contact an authorized Electrolux service technician to test internal components, including the water inlet valve solenoids, pressure switch, and internal pressure hose.
This step is marked professional. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.
