Does this guide apply to your appliance?

Match the brand, device type and complete display code. The same code can mean something different on another product family or market; a series name does not confirm every model in that series.

Likely causes

  • Water supply tap closed, turned off, or partially shut
  • Water inlet hose kinked, trapped, or bent behind the machine
  • Sediment or limescale blocking the mesh filter in the inlet hose or valve
  • Insufficient mains water pressure (below 0.5 bar / 0.05 MPa)
  • Drain hose positioned too low or inserted too deeply, causing siphoning
  • Excessive detergent creating foam that blocks the pressure level sensing system

What to try

Check Water Supply Tap and Pressure

Easy
  1. Verify that the cold water isolation tap supplying the machine is fully turned counter-clockwise (open).
  2. Turn off the tap and carefully unscrew the inlet hose at the tap connection.
  3. Place a bucket or bowl directly under the tap and open the tap fully to test flow rate.
  4. Ensure the tap fills approximately 10 litres in about one minute (operating pressure must be at least 0.5 bar).
  5. If water pressure is adequate, reconnect the inlet hose securely to the tap and reopen the supply.

Inspect Hose and Clean the Inlet Mesh Filters

Easy
  1. Turn off the washing machine and unplug it from the electrical socket.
  2. Shut off the water isolation tap completely.
  3. Gently pull the washing machine forward and inspect the inlet hose along its full length to ensure it is not pinched, twisted, or kinked.
  4. Unscrew the inlet hose from the tap end and check the small mesh filter inside the fitting for limescale, grit, or debris; clean it thoroughly under running water.
  5. Unscrew the inlet hose from the rear inlet valve of the machine, remove the small filter screen, and clean it gently with a soft brush.
  6. Reinstall the filters, screw both ends of the hose back on tightly by hand, and turn the water tap back on to inspect for leaks before powering on the washer.

Verify Drain Hose Setup and Clear Oversudsing

Moderate
  1. Check that the drain hose is positioned at the correct height (between 60 cm and 100 cm above the base of the machine).
  2. Ensure the drain hose extends no more than 10 cm down into the standpipe to prevent water from siphoning out while the tub is filling.
  3. Inspect the drum for excessive foam; if overfoaming is present, cancel the cycle and wait for foam to dissipate.
  4. Run an empty maintenance wash at 60°C or 90°C without detergent to clear residue from the pressure chamber.
  5. If the error persists and the machine will not take in water despite good supply pressure and clear filters, stop and contact an authorised Electrolux service technician to inspect internal components (e.g., inlet solenoid valve or pressure switch).

This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.

The code returned or the check did not help?

Avoid repeated resets and do not select a replacement part from the code alone. Record the exact code, full model number, when it appeared, and the checks you tried with their results. Share these details with the manufacturer or service technician.

Disconnecting power does not establish that internal components are safe to touch. This guide does not authorize opening electrical components or bypassing safety devices.
