Does this guide apply to your appliance?

Match the brand, device type and complete display code. The same code can mean something different on another product family or market; a series name does not confirm every model in that series.

Likely causes

  • Excessive detergent causing over-foaming that overflows into the base
  • Laundry trapped between the door seal and glass causing water leakage into the bottom tray
  • Blocked, improperly fitted, or leaking fluff drain filter
  • Clogged detergent dispenser drawer causing water overflow
  • Loose or damaged water inlet hose connections or torn door seal

What to try

Allow detergent foam to subside

Easy
  1. Turn off the washer dryer using the power button.
  2. Leave the appliance switched off for several hours to let excessive suds subside.
  3. Turn the appliance back on and run a short rinse and spin or drain programme without adding detergent.
  4. Adjust future detergent quantities to manufacturer recommendations and local water hardness.

Drain the base tray and check for trapped laundry

Moderate
  1. Disconnect the appliance from the electrical mains socket and turn off the water supply tap.
  2. Open the door and inspect the door gasket for trapped clothing or visible cracks and tears.
  3. Place an absorbent towel on the floor behind the washing machine.
  4. Carefully tilt the appliance backwards to approximately 40 degrees and hold it for 30–40 seconds to let pooled water in the bottom tray drain out onto the towel.
  5. Return the appliance upright onto a level floor, reconnect power and water, and test the machine.

This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.

Clean the dispenser drawer and drain pump filter

Easy
  1. Unplug the appliance from the mains power supply.
  2. Pull out the detergent drawer, press the release catch, and remove it completely.
  3. Rinse the drawer and clear the spray nozzles in the housing using warm running water and a soft brush.
  4. Open the flap at the bottom front of the machine and place a shallow tray or towel underneath.
  5. Unscrew the fluff filter, rinse away lint and trapped foreign objects, inspect the seal for damage, and firmly tighten it back into position by hand.

Check external hoses or schedule an engineer

Moderate
  1. Ensure the appliance remains disconnected from the electrical power supply.
  2. Inspect the inlet hose connections at the tap and at the back of the washer dryer for moisture or leaks, tightening firmly by hand only.
  3. Check that the drain hose is free of kinks, blockage, and is inserted properly into the waste pipe.
  4. If the error recurs, water continues collecting in the base, or internal components are leaking, turn off the water supply and contact an authorized service center.

This step is marked caution. Stop if you are not qualified to continue.

The code returned or the check did not help?

Avoid repeated resets and do not select a replacement part from the code alone. Record the exact code, full model number, when it appeared, and the checks you tried with their results. Share these details with the manufacturer or service technician.

Disconnecting power does not establish that internal components are safe to touch. This guide does not authorize opening electrical components or bypassing safety devices.
